The MPC algorithm used is part of the open source Apache Milagro (incubating) project. This algorithm uses distributed MPC nodes and can generate either ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) or EdDSA (Edwards-curve Digital Signature Algorithm) signatures. These two algorithms are used by the vast majority of cryptoasset blockchains.
