Creating a Fund & Setting Up Your Wallet

Creating a Fund is the starting point for all Qredo transactions. Qredo offers a high level of customization to suit your individual preferences.

A) Set Up Your Fund

The Fund on Qredo is where you hold your digital assets. There are six steps to setting up a Fund -- allowing you a high level of customization:
  1. Once signed in to your Qredo account, go to Holdings (click the Qredo icon in the top-left corner of the page).
  2. Click Create FundEnter the Fund Name and the Description of your preference, and select one of the available themes for your Fund. Go to ContinueIf you are creating a Fund in an Organization Account, you'll be able to add Fund Organizers and Traders.
  3. In the Default Transaction Approval Policy screen and under Adding an Approver, click +Yourself to add yourself as the Approver. If you have a Trusted Network set up, you’ll be able to add additional Approvers.
  4. Set the Threshold and click Continue.
  5. In the Default Withdrawal Approval Policy screen, select +Yourself to add yourself as the Approver or select Default TX Policy to add the same members and Threshold from your Default Transaction Approval Policy.
  6. Set the Threshold and click Continue.

*To edit a fund, go to the fund in question and select Edit Fund in the upper right corner of the Qredo web app. Click the Pencil icon next to any section you wish to amend.

Note: Transaction policies are for any internal Qredo transfer, Withdrawals are for any L1 withdrawals to external wallets

B) Set Up Your Wallet

  1. Enter the Name of the wallet.
  2. Select your preferred wallet Type:
    1. Standard Wallet will ask you to select one of our supported assets. Selecting Inherit for the Transaction and Withdrawal Policies will replicate the Fund policies to the Wallet. You can also set Custom policies specific to this wallet.
    2. Connected Wallet will ask you to choose an available Connection. Selecting Inherit from Transaction/Withdrawal Policy will replicate the Fund’s Transaction/Withdrawal policy to the Connected Wallet’s Approval policy. You can also set Custom policies specific to this wallet. Finally, select the Fee Wallet of your preference.
    3. Fee Wallet will ask you to choose one of the 3 available asset types that you'll use to pay the Qredo network fees (using QRDO will give you a 20% discount). Selecting Inherit for the Transaction and Withdrawal Policies will replicate the Fund policies to the Wallet. You can also set Custom policies specific to this wallet.
  3. Click Save Wallet to confirm wallet creation. Select Add Wallet to add another one. When you're don adding wallets, go to Continue.
  4. Review the Fund and make the necessary edits by clicking the pencil icon next to the relevant field.
  5. Finish off by clicking Create Fund.
